American Idol, Top 12 Sing Songs from Lennon and McCartney

Cheesy American Idol 8:13 p.m. - Syesha Mercado is up first. Her hair/outfit looks fly. Her earrings are snazzified. 8:14 p.m. - Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul thought it was pitchy at first. Simon Cowell thought it was a great choice of song, “I just think you look very very nervous, but I thought you were much better than you were last week.” 8:19 p.m. - Cheesy Chikezie worked security at LAX. HA! We think we saw him there before. He’s actually remarkably likable. 8:20 p.m. - He will sing “She’s a Woman”. Let’s see if he rocks it. 8:22 p.m. - Wow, we think we actually like us some Cheesy. Hot dog! 8:24 p.m. - “Who knew? I love the arrangement … Chikezie smashed it!” Paula just repeats what Simon said last week. “The reward paid off, my dear!” Uh, we think you meant risk. Simon: “I’m really surprised that I actually agree with these two; unlike the first singer, you have actually changed within a week. I thought you were terrific.8:28 p.m. - Ramiele Malubay has a totally shaky beginning. Ouch. This one is going to be painful. At least her hair looks flippin’ awesome. Her voice is too soft. She sings like a mouse whispering. And what happened to that last note? She destroyed it. And not in a good way. 8:30 p.m. - “I thought it was pretty, but it was also pretty boring,” says Randy. Paula compliments Ramille on her looks. Ouch. That’s not a good sign. “I feel like you’re holding back,” she says. “I was bored to tears throughout the entire song, to the awful standing on the stairs … it was forgettable, boring, I expect a lot better from you,” Simon rips right into her. 8:32 p.m. - At least she isn’t crying! We would be! 8:36 p.m. - iTunes plug! What what. 8:37 p.m. - Does Jason Castro have nats flying in and around his dreads?? LOL!!! 8:37 p.m. - Jason is singing “If I Fell”. He has some love affair with vests. Who wears vests anymore? 8:39 p.m. - That was pretty good. Eh. Whatever. 8:40 p.m. - “It was alright,” says Randy. “I disagree with Randy,” Paula says. “Blah blah blah blah.” Simon tells the truth: “It wasn’t as good as last week.” 8:47 p.m. - Ooh, love that shirt, Carly Smithson! Ew, her roommate is Amanda Overmyer. Scary! 8:48 p.m. - Carly is waitress-bartender-singer. Who’d guess? 8:49 p.m. - “Come Together” comes together for Carly. She has an amazing screaming voice. Sometimes she even sounds like Kelly Clarkson; sometimes she sounds even better. But she does need to lose more weight. 8:51 p.m. - “You were strong, you were confident; there wasn’t a note out of tune,” Randy says. “I felt like I was already watching a star,” Paula rambles. Simon says she finally got the song right: “This reminds me of six years ago of Kelly Clarkson.” Awww shit, guess who just read Simon’s mind!!!??!??!

Flavor of Love 3, Round 5: Baby Got Bunz!

Flavor of Love 3 So last night’s episode was rather devastating for the small children visiting Flava Flav’s casa when they got a shot of Bunz’s bare bun sans panties. Yikes. How did this happen? Well, Flav loves the kids. Why wouldn’t he? Having bred a small village of children himself, Flav invites a group of neighborhood kiddos over to share in a Flavor Tale Hour — where the ladies dress up like slutty Disney characters (!) and try to win the kids’ affection. The ladies pretty much hate on Bunz up to this point because she had some alone time with Flav in his bed, which was kind of repulsing. The Muppet Twins’ team wins because the kids like Muppets and donkeys (Prancer and Bee-Ex were on that team, too). The other teams consisted of Hotlanta dressed as a prego-looking Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Klingon and Seezinz were dressed as cheap Pirates of the Caribbean wannabes. Myammee and Shy were super pissed off at Bunz for flashing her vajayjay to the kids, and blamed her for the team’s loss. This is probably all true; what a sad day for Bunz… Flav takes the Muppets, Bee-Ex and Prancer out for a night of salsa dancing and nacho munching for winning the challenge. Bee-Ex is further exposed when the Muppets dig deeper into Bee-Ex’s past of celebrity stalking, Flav is left wondering if Bee-Ex is really there for Flav or the attention that this raunchy reality show may bring her. Meanwhile, the girls are up to no good at the house. Bunz bum is causing quite the stir. Lots of accusations are twisted around about Bunz and Flav and his nether regions. Hmm… what is the truth?! That’s what happens when the ladies get drunk — nothing but pure DRAMA! Clock time again! Who’s leaving?? Is it Bunz or Bee-Ex? Obviously, Flav wasn’t too offended by Bunz’s flash because he kicks out Bee-Ex when he reveals that Bee-Ex was also on the Oprah show as Usher’s biggest fan. Sounds like she is a bit celebrity-obsessed! Ciao, stalker! — Katie LuRusso Image courtesy of VH1. ShareThis

New Bond Girls Announced

Bond girls! Smart, sexy and dangerous. Always a pleasure to see on and off the screen! It looks as though Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton will co-star in the latest installment of the 007 franchise opposite Daniel Craig, Columbia Pictures has announced. Craig made his debut as Bond in 2006’s “Casino Royale,” which co-starred French actress Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, an enigmatic spy who stole Bond’s heart — and broke it, too. For Craig’s second appearance, Kurylenko, a Ukrainian model-turned-actress, “will play the dangerously alluring Camille, who challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper’s betrayal,” the studio says. Kurylenko’s screen credits include “Hitman” and “Paris, je t’aime.” Arterton will portray MI6 Agent Fields. She appears in the upcoming “RocknRolla,” directed by Guy Ritchie. Columbia spokesman Steve Elzer had no details Tuesday on Arterton’s character. Marc Forster is directing the film, which has the working title, “Bond 22.” It is slated for release November 7. Congrats girls… they could have done much worse.
